Always love your pov and research buddy. Listen to Annette Funicello’s very diff backwards vocals take on “That Crazy Place From Outer Space” from 1958.
Really interesting piece. It was great to find out what the origins of such an important sound were. I'm using backwards guitar stuff on a song I'm working on, playing them into the DAW then flipping the waveforms around. It's a little more tedious than using a delay pedal to achieve those sounds, but when things really work, that element of surprise is like nothing else.
Ha! I missed that one, Brad. Question is: How on Earth did you know about it?
Ah, good catch! FIXED!
Nice piece! Although I chuckled every time you rendered it as "I AM only sleeping."
This is one of the tracks that was released in the UK and US in very different mixes (in the US on the infamous "Yesterday and Today" compilation).
