Today I am listening to Richie Beirach's duets with Gregor Huegner on 2022's 'Testaments,' which was a celebration of his 75th birthday. This 3CD set provides a perfect look at Richie's classical influences on interpretations of Bach, Faure, Bartok, Katchaturian and others (on CD1), then showcases Richie's and Gregor's delicate and sometimes 'out' originals (on CD2) before they both swing their asses off on standards like "If I Were a Bell," "On Green Dolphin Street," "Nardis" and "There Is No Greater Love" (on CD3). Brilliant performances and a great showcase of the full scope of Richie's genius.

This is so so great. That “Pendulum” box set w Randy Brecker and Lieb is legendary 🔥🔥🔥

Also the Some Other Time Chet tribute record.

He left behind a lovely discography. And these words of wisdom… thank you!
